Today at Mass...

We went to Mass at noon today for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father was setting up for Mass without a server so both of my boys asked if they could serve. There was a recently retired priest concelebrating today as well. After Mass my oldest son said, "Dad during Communion that other priest was singing in Latin."

"Cool," was my response. Very cool indeed. I think Latin has a bad rep around here, but I am praying that we might see a return to using it at least once in a while.
